quesion for 300/400CX loaders

Gotta question. Yup, thats right... the Kubota dealer is asking a John Deere question. I looks like we going to have a 4720 traded in on a bigger tractor. The 400CX loader has loads of slop with about 500 hours on it. You can push the loader bucket L/R a good 6-8" with no trouble at all. It seems to be twisting on the two sockets at the bottom of the loader posts. It also bounces up and down 2-3" on its own. Does anyone know a way to adjust this out?

If you look behind the arms...midway you'll see the "release" mechanism for the loader...on that would be a large Nut (A) in the picture below....with the loader on a flat place (garage floor) I put downpressure on the loader and then adjust those large nuts till they are ALMOST touching the frame...make it so you can still rotate the latches.
By tightening them up "snug" you essentially disable the quick park feature, but the loader is very solid (I disabled mine)...

I think I follow you. Is it possible to have no slop and still have the quick park work? We've not put a dollar value to this yet and are trying to determine if we can get it back to an acceptable point.

I tighten mine(300cx) to the manual spec. and with 120hrs of pretty good use it has almost no noticeable movement.

Its possible....just a matter of getting it adjusted right to the point of where you can still just barely swing the latches by hand when you apply downpressure on the loader.
