Anyone have any good or bad comments about tilt equipment trailers made by Quality Trailers? They seem to be priced pretty reasonable.

I am on my 4th one , I buy the pro series , run till the tires are about 20% then I sell it and go buy a new one , last one cost me $800 the one before that was $850 doesn't pay to buy a set of tires and put brakes on it . they are nice , every one comments on my nice trailer , once you use the tilt you will hate ramps ! I also like the extra footage on the front compared to other brands .

Where are you buying a $800 trailer?

I’ve got one that I’ve had for about a year. Purchased it primarily to haul my Bobcat E42 mini-ex. Mine is 15k GVWR. Now I’m using it for just about all my hauling (tractor, CTL, implements). I find it much more convenient that my smaller equipment trailer with fold down ramps. Regarding the trailer, I really don’t have any major complaints. Fit and finish is a little rough in areas, and the paint job isn’t the best, but nothing that affects performance.

I think he's saying he buys the new one, then sells it for basically an $800 loss when the tire tread is low, then has to shell x amount out to buy a new one again? That's how I read it...

Thanks for the feed back. I was looking at the pro model. I noticed that they come with automotive type paint and not powder coated which to me is a plus. There have been no major negatives to my question yet so maybe I should take a second look. All trailers that I have looked at so far are quite similar but some come with torsion axles that are more expensive. I will be using trailer for multiple types of equipment that will load different so I think slipper springs would be best for my use.

Well, I took a second look and decided to purchase the Quality trailer. I picked it up Tuesday and now am waiting for some chains and binders to arrive so that I can try it out with a load on it. Empty it pulls easy. The people at the dealership take care of everything. I was very happy with the price and the buying experience. Hopefully I will be just as pleased after accumalating a lot of miles on it. They said that the model I got was their best selling model. Its the pro model 15000 lb with the 8 ft fixed deck. Can't wait to put it to work. This is what it looks like.

If you are planning to keep the trailer for a extended period of time or store it out in the sunlight go to Home Depot etc. and buy a gallon of Rustoleum Enamel paint and a large roller, then go to town on the wood planking. I don’t care if the wood is treated. Uncle Mikie says do it soon! :)

I bought a Quality 20' beavertail 14,000 GVW equipment trailer 3 years ago.
It was the least expensive new trailer that I could find at the time.
Be certain that you check the wheel bearings for proper tightening, the spring mount zerks for taking grease, and the wheel bolts for cross threading.
I ordered with 16" wheels, and E rated tires.
I tow with a 14,000 lb. Equal-i-zer hitch.
If you contact.... countrywidetrailerregistrations.com (Bangor, Maine) you can register your trailer in Maine for $20/year. You DO NOT need to have a Maine mailing, or residence address.
