quality hydraulic hoses and fittings

after i finish mounting my woods bh80x on the kubota 3710, i will need to have some hoses made. i want to make sure i get quality parts, what do i ask for? what can i expect to pay? i will be connecting into the power beyond.

Go to Discount hydraulic hose. Read the hose guide as to which type. SAE R1 has one reinforcing wire wrap and 100R2 has two. Pressure rating and flexibility are inversely related to the number of wires.
I buy hose and fitting and then have my local tractor shop or NAPA do the crimping. this lets me do a "dry" routing and get the lengths correct.

thanks shaley. but time is an issue. i needed to start digging yesterday. my plan is to trailer my tractor to a local hose shop and have them make up what a need. i was just hoping to get some info on what tipe of hoses and fiitings to look for. or should i just go with what the hose shop recomends?

My dealer made my hoses up when I got my hydraulic top link. They knew the tractor and setup already. If you have a dealer close I'd go to them. Both hoses cost me $47. Also having your tractor and implement there on site makes taking measurements easier. I guess you could also take them to a NAPA or other parts house and they could do the same. I'd also go with their recommendation as to the hose sizes and fittings.

1/2" SAE 100R2 working pressure of 3500psi.
I'm pretty sure the shop will recommend this type.

Look in your yellowpages under "Hose." There should be several dealers/distributors who specialize in custom hydraulic hose making. If that's all the shop does all day long, you can nearly bet they'll do them right.
