QA plate on LA463 Bucket

Well, my conversion to QA on my LA463 loader continues.... It took me a total of about 7 hours to get the old brackets off the bucket and get everything ground down smooth and ready for the QA plate to be welded on. I have a pretty good idea of where I want to place the plate on the bucket, but was wondering if someone who already has one set up on the LA463 bucket could tell me how high the top "lip" of the bracket is. I am thinking that the bottom of the "V" shape on the top of the bracket (in other words the point at which the piece on the loader arm would contact the top of the bucket plate), should be about even with the "step" at the top of the back of the LA463 bucket. Does anyone have one from the factory with the Kubota QA?... if so could you let me know where the top of the bracket is? Thanks!

Here is a link to pictures of the back side of my bucket that is not the new Kubota factory QA but the dealer did install it and has worked correctly for almost three years.

Great Pics! It appears that the top of the plate is right about even with the "step" at the back of the bucket as I thought. Is that an additional reinforcing piece that runs the lengh of the plate at the top? My plate only has the inverted "V" across the top... it looks like yours had an additional piece welded on top of the bracket.

You are correct I didn't notice that. Who ever done the welding must have added that for reinforcement.

Since it's you doing the job you can build it up as you like....that's the beauty of doing it yourself.
