Put a 50 cal box on mine today

Needed somewhere to put stuff, clips, wrenchs, oil, etc. Also put a 4" piece of PVC on the roll bar to hold a spare bottle of my oxygen I have to use all the time.
An no, the box doesn't stick out far enough to hit the top link when it is raised all the way up with anything I have on it...:thumbsup:.

Sorry to hear about your need for oxygen. Kind of puts into perspective some of my own health maladies--I hope there is hope for improvement, on your personal health horizon.

Having said that, where does someone by a "50 cal" box" and not wind up on a "No Fly" list, with our civil-liberties-crushing gov't., here in the U.S?

Also, how did you mount it? Through-bolts through the bottom of the box? To what? Any "installation" pics? \

I'm guessing that ammo box is weatherproof, with a gasketed lid--is that correct?

Randomly came across this post today. Cabela's now sell their bulk ammo in metal .50 cal. type boxes. One way to get one if you're a shooter. I've been looking for a box, or even a deep tray, to fit between the uprights of the ROPS on my YM1720. I measured the length of a .50 cal box. About 12", but I may use it till I find?make my ideal tool box. I haven't addressed whether the top link will hit it, where I intend to mount it, as the tractor's in Maine and I'm in MA. I actually have a rare (?) side hinged box, along w/the normal end hinged type.

Nice lookin' job there Toolman. Most would have painted the box orange but it looks real good gray. I need to go shootin' this weekend and empty one of my cans cause I've been wanting to add a tool box to my BX for a while.

In regards to finding the 50 cal ammo cans: If there is an Army Surplus store in your area, you might be able to obtain one there. I have seen them for sale there before.

I would ditto Creekbend, the army surplus stores usually have them for $10 or so. I have half a dozen and use them as first aid boxes painted with the red cross and many other uses.

great idea for a tool box if tools are not too long.

My BX 25 BH prevents that arrangement. I have really looked over the whole thing for a place for a tool box. No good place that will not be vunerable to banging into something or creatre a visability problem. Anybody out there tried to mount something on a BX 25?
