This is a 2005 with 400 hours. It has a hydraulic dump bed. It saw light duty on a 30 acre farm in Boston, VA. I paid $7100. I think the price is pretty fair. what's your opinion? It needs some TLC and a new/recovered seat. I've started changing all the fluids and doing a detailed cleaning. I got a lot of reading to do on RTVs... So far, I love this machine. I've hauled several loads of wood and can hardly tell anything is back there. I'm looking forward to many years of RTV fun. Opinions and comments welcome.

Thanks,
Jeff

Looks nice Jeff..They are great machines...Why worry about the price? It's yours now..Kinda like looking up the answers after the test:D

Use it, maintain it, and enjoy it...That's what it's all about.

We love our RTV900. We've had it for 2 years now and it gets used almost daily. Excellent machine. The 4wheelers rarely get used any more.

Jeff,

I bought a new RTV 900 last fall and am more than happy with the purchase. I'm confident that you will enjoy the RTV.

The tires in the picture look like they are new. Are they original?

I'm hoping that my seat looks better after 4 years/400 hours. Any idea as to what tore the seat? I'm thinking the previous owner must have climbed in and out with tools (e.g., pliers) in his rear pockets.

Sounds like you got a great deal, we paid $8500 for ours with 300 hours on it. "Murphy" (We name everything) is a great pack mule, and hauls 55 gallon drums of water, and heaping loads of gravel around like they're nothing.

I added a Harbor Freight 3,000 lb winch up front and an aftermarket windshield and am in heaven!

One word of caution: The Kubota stock block heater SUCKS. If you find yourself wanting a block heater, find a lower radiator hose heater that fits.

Enjoy!

Steve,

Yes, the tires are original. I don't think they saw much time on pavement. I think the RTV sat outside most of it's life and that's what destroyed the seat. I had the bottom and back recovered and it turned out pretty good. I'm in the process of removing all the faded warning stickers and painting the headache rack. I'll post new pictures once I get it all shined up.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

I just noticed that you live near Boston VA. My first job after finishing my undergraduate degree in 1972 was in Culpeper and we rented a small house on the Sperryville Pike near Boston. We left the area in 1974 when I entered graduate school.

I'm sure that the landscape has changed over the last 36 years. Is the little store/post office in Boston still open?

Steve,

To be honest, I never knew there was a Boston VA until I found the RTV. I punched the seller's address into my GPS and drove straight there. I don't believe I drove through the actual town. Sorry...
