Does anyone know what type of seeder is used for pumpkins? Right now I have a IHC 2 row planter built a very long time ago that works great, just not so great for pumpkin seed. I have machined new plates for the seeder with bigger slots but its not very consistent, 2 to 5 seeds per drop, the shape of the seed combined with their fragile nature complicated things. I removed all the hard seed wipers and installed brushed so the seeds dont break when the wiper is trying to remove any extra seeds. My understanding is corn planters are used for pumpkin, I have searched high and low to find info online but cant really pin anything down. Jang makes the TDR series planters, $900 per head seems like alot of money for a trial and hope for no error. Anyone have advice? Thanks.
