Pulled trigger, hope I didn\'t shoot myself

Just ordered Kubota 3410 (with 16 hours), R4s filled, Woods 1016 FEL, bucket with chain hooks, reinforcement bar, tooth bar, and pallet forks and QA, foldable - removable canopy, TnT, arm rests, 72" rear rotary mower, post hole digger with 9" and 12" augers, box blade, warranty, and what I need to service it. . . . Will be delvered in a week or so to a person who has never owned a tractor, but who did manage to narrowly avoid cutting his arm off with a chain saw, so you all better hope and pray for the best - thus my thread title - hope I didn't shoot myself. . . It is really much more of a tractor than I need but got such a great price on the tractor I could not justify going with a 7800 or 2910. And I desreve it anyway.

Congratulations!! I must admit I have been following your posts for a while. As a person who is in the same boat as you (never owned a tractor before, but had a ton of questions), I was happy to see you ask all the questions I wanted answers to...I got my tractor last weekend and was blown away with its versatility, ease of use, and strength. I got a John Deere 4310, but we can still be friends /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

On the way back from a doctor's appointment this morning I was thinking about what you said about having five acres and that was about all you would deal with...even though you have those other 85...

I concluded that you would soon find that you would want to expand those five nice acres into ten nice acres...don't fear...you made the right choice... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif You did it right the first time, it appears to me.

If it looks big at first...it won't take long until it is just perfect for you. No doubt about it...

If your experience is anything like what mine has been in the past year, with some hindsight you will regard getting the bigger tractor as a wise decision. With only a limited amount of time available, I can't tell you how many times that made the difference for completing a project.

Great choice... hope you get many years of service and enjoyment. And please be safe along the way!
