Good Evening All,
First time poster long time lurker!
I am having an absolute nightmare trying to get the universal PTO joint that is used on the Rotovator to connect to the tractor PTO shaft. no matter what i do i simply cant get it off, i have no idea the last time it has been taken off bought the tractor about 4 months ago and have been doing it up and for reasons that only Murphy's law know i never tried to take it off before taking my pride and joy out to the field
the push pin on the universal is free (or was until i managed to pull it a bit now it is stuck in the open position (presumably because it has started to slide off)
i have tried all of the following:
WD40
AP Blaster
Freeze
heat
shock (not too much as i was worried about damaging the main tractor PTO shaft
WD40 + comealong winch (putting under strain then tapping 360 on shaft)
Have re attached the rotovator and used it in the field to see if that would help loosen it off (Nope)
last thing i tried was huge post plus chain and a few tugs (i know that is bad) nothing but nice track gullies.
I have a bearing puller but cant get purchase - so frustrated and don't know what to do - local dealer just set to cut it off but i do not want to try that, anyone got any ideas from you cleaver people ?
if you need pics or any other info please let me know
Thanks in advance
Jon
