While watching the yanmar drifting link, I saw this video of a tractor trying to pull a stuck car. what was noted on the comments was the PTO shaft was still on the tractor. From my eyes, it looks that way to me too. Other opinions?

I agree with KennyV. The video shows a good way to bend the tractor loader arms and or cylinders. And yes, half of a PTO shaft is still attached.
He might have got the car unstuck had he turned around and hooked to the drawbar.

Anyone with any brains at all should know you can pull a lot more going forward just simply due to the tire design. If he needs to lift slightly while pulling just hook up to the I-Match and use a short chain.

And yes. 1/2 the shaft is still there.

My buddy had some idiots stuck on his land. He found the truck the next morning so he went down with his Case BH and pushed berms of dirt all around them. They showed up with a wrecker to get it out around noon the next day and found a 5' tall dirt mound around all 4 sides. Anyway the law was called and they came to his house. He said hey, its my property I can do what I want, they are tress passing. The law agreed and they sent the wrecker on its way after the guy paid a $125 call out fee. The cops then asked my buddy what it was going to take to get the truck back to the owner and off his property. He quickly answered $500. He was paid and he fired up his BH and dug them out then pulled the truck out while the cop filed tress passing charges. Got to love small town Indiana cops.;)

He would have yanked that little car right out if he R1's instead of those worthless R4's :p

I was waiting for the R1 R4 debate to start. I agree, turn the tractor around and some R1's and it would have pulled it out at idle.;)

One of his many problems was he was "yanking" instead of pulling.
You should always try to be at least half as smart as the tool that you are using.
These guys all combined would not be half as smart as a bald tire...

BTW... R4's are good tires coupled with someone that knows what he is doing...
