I'm in the process of modifying a B2650 to work with my bx2200. The mid pto on the bx is 2500 rpm. What speed is the B2650 snowblower design to run at?

I had a B1750 with the B2660 front snowblower. If I recall correctly, the mid PTO speed was 858 RPM. The B2660 is just a B2650,only wider. Sounds like a lot of difference to make up. Good Luck!

Not sure if this info will apply to your set-up, but the mid PTO on my B7800 is also 2500rpm and that's the speed my B2782 front mount blower(63 in.) is designed to run at. Just saw its first action of the season this morning....

From what I can tell everything I need to make this work is falling into place. I'm in the process of making my own designed quick hitch. Three pins, discount the front shaft and an electric plug for the chute. Now I just need to find the 10 spline yokes for the shaft. If anyone has a lead on these it would be greatly appreciated.

I had a 2650 on my B7500, I think that pto was 2000 rpm, its been a few years so im not 100% sure? Its a quality blower & kicked butt performence wise on the 7500!

Most likely different reduction chain and sprocket set-ups are used depending on the blower's application, since 3 different speeds are reported here. Sounds like Ductape's parts would work for yours. Will be interested in hearing the outcome.

A friend has an older L that has the two speed rear PTO. He also has a 7800, when he got it he also got a rear blower. He found that the higher speed is an asset. He just runs the L at a lower RPM at what looks like the same speed/ performace and every once in a while he'll speed the engine up to really move some snow.

I would try what you have at a lower RPM and then speed the motor up if it's not throwing the snow well enough. Also I don't think the difference between 2000 and 2500 is very much once it's geared down, 2500 rpm on a system that was designed for 2000 mid PTO equals about 135 extra RPMs ( assuming that the actual blower is designed to run at 540, the same speed as a rear blower).
