1734 E
I am looking to purchase a Winco PTO generator. I used to have the same model that I ran on a kubota tractor. Now I have A Massey Ferguson 1734 E. They sell 2 different shafts for this generator as assesories and I don't know why someone would need one or the other. Also I currently have a drive shaft for my finishing mower, seems like I should hold off altogether on getting a new shaft until I see if the existing one is the proper length for the new generator.

here are some links to the generator and the 2 shafts, any thoughts are appreciated, as I don't have a ton of experience in all this.

Here are the 2 shafts they offer, but I am confused why I would need one or the other...

The two shafts are different lengths!

Cat 1 or Cat II would likely drive the choice of length.

Right off the top I can think of a couple reasons some folks would need a PTO shaft.

- they don't have a PTO shaft
- the PTO shaft they do have is not the correct length or the U-joint on the generator end
is not compatible

I've got three "Spare" pto tumble bars in agdition to the ones that stay with the implement.
Not one of them fits the latest need. (ends are different, length is wrong etc.)

I NEED another new tumble bar! ;-)

PTO shafts also come rated for different HP tractors too, bigger HP tractors need higher rated PTO shafts.

Says the second shaft is for the tph250 (3 point mount option), thus the different length.

Nice thing about the tph250 is you can replace the 4 rubber feet with caster wheels and it rolls nicely around the garage floor when mounting/unmounting it from the tractor.
