Tractor
JD2555 and a few Allis Chalmers and now one Kubota
Came here looking for answers to a non working pto on a 4wd version of the 1100. Just did a search, found out NH has a website, looked around on it, pulled the tractor apart, and a bearing and "clutch" were out. Got the put back in and now I get to go home. Drove 375 miles over here to help a friend fix it or haul it off (his wife said for scrap). She was happy cause the yard got mowed. The poor tractor has been sitting out in the salt air for two years without being touched. She was a trooper, fired up and ran and then let us pull her apart with little trouble.
Some tractor just won't die!

Trooper, yes. Amazing little tractors. Bought mine to help clean up/rebuild a couple years ago after I got flooded out. Don't know how I got along without it! Looking for info on adding ROPS bar now. Not so much for a rollover but for a place to add LED lights. OEM lights are very dim, and it gets pretty dark moving snow in January.

So... what is it your moving? That word you mentioned doesn't come up in my dictionary... so I am looking for an explanation to it. "snow" is a term I am not familiar with, can you explain?
On a more serious level...I sold this tractor to my friend when I purchased a larger tractor, as it was too valuable to let sit. The sale of that subcompact almost paid for the JD2555 that replaced it. The tractor has been a seriously good one, always overworked, and seldom kept out of the weather. This time we cleared out a spot in his garage to put the old girl in, so she ought to have an easier time now!

Yes I've had my 1100 for 32 years with very few issues. And now I do keep the old girl indoors. The first 25 years was left outside and it could still be left out and I wouldn't sweat it- except for tires which are a lot higher than they were in 1983.
