Ok, I just had a brainstorm for an old mtd 800 lawn tractor. A fore thought is it will have a hydrualic system amongst other modifications including a fel. I was wondering if anyone could help with the idea of putting a pto setup on the lawn tractor, it would most likely be used for a pto generator and a small bushhog. It might be underpowered, a little too light but those could be fixed (in time)

Dear Sir
I built a homemade Power king with a 9 Hp gas engine horizontal shaft and used a power steering pump from a ford. It was slow to run the FEL but it had power. PS pumps around 1 gpm at 1000psi. I have moved to larger toys. The FEL had enough power to flex the tractor frame causing other problems I recycled it. It dug lots.

If you have a hydraulic pump of sufficent volume you could use a hydraulic motor with appropriate PTO adapter. Elliminates all mechanical gearboxes etc. Just a mounting plate, hoses and valve.

I had an Arens that had a rear PTO . But speed was same as engine speed. Shaft ran off back of HYD pumps for HYD drive. also had HYD lift. 14 HP. Don't know what attachments they had for it.
