Kioti DK 90, Kioti DK50SE with Cab, Ford 4610, Ford 2110, Ford 860, Hough Payloader, 1945 International Bull Dozer
My Kioti has a different set up than my Ford tractors such that the PTO shafts on my attachments are too short for the Kioti. I don't want to buy new shafts just to use my new Kioti so I bought an overruning clutch so that I would have a longer PTO shaft and the benefit of an overruning clutch if I wanted to use it on the older tractors.

Unfortunately when I tried to put it on the tractor I discovered that the Kioti does not have the hole in the PTO shaft for a pin that all my Ford tractors do.

Is the hole in the PTO shaft common? Was it only on Ford tractors or was it a modification by the previous owner?

I have an older model DK 35.
I added a overrunning clutch to it, and my DK had a hole in the PTO shaft to add the overrun clutch.
The newer DKse model's may not have the pin hole.

My Kioti is a DK50SE with HST. Would be nice if it had the pin hole.

You don't need to drill a hole...and PLEASE DO NOT DO SO!!!

Here's what I think you need:
Pto Adapter 1-3/8 X6 Spline Male X 1-3/8X6 Spline Female Pto Adapter
This adapter adds about 4" (or a bit more) length to your tractor's PTO stub shaft. I have one and it works fine.

I don't have a Ford, but those adapters with the pin holes are made for older Ford tractors. I'm actually surprised anyone carries them.

BECAUSE ...... :confused2:????

Are you familar with the PTO extention the OP described? Doesn't sound like it...
The PTO stub shaft is hardened to take the continous load. Drilling hardened steel is very difficult with hand tools even on a bench let alone when mounted on the tractor (I doubt LastSTRAW wants to disassemble his tractor's PTO). Drilling the hole...even match drilling using the extention's hole as a template, wouldn't be easy at all and would weaken the strength of the stubshaft.
Take a good look at your tractor's PTO stubshaft...I think you'll see what I mean. And, if you're familar with machining, you'll know why I wrote that.
Since the proper extention is readily available for 20 bucks...why would anyone use the wrong type of extention?

BTW, when I first bought my extention, I bought the same thing LastSTRAW did (which is all Tractor Supply had). I realized my mistake and bought the correct one.
