I'm sure that this is going to be a loaded question, but here goes: For my BX, I just bought a Howard Rotavator tiller, and it does a beautiful job. It came with a driveshaft made by a company called "Comer" that has a slip clutch on it. I scoured through the difficult-if-not-impossible to read instructions (in no less that 20 languages) looking for instructions on how to adjust it. In use, the tiller worked perfectly, the slip clutch never broke free, and that's fine, but how do i know it's working properly??? And though I know you adjust the nuts on the springs to get the right break force necessary, how do you know how tight to make them? The manual said "torque to Comer Specifications" but nowhere did it actually list what those specs were!

I just want to make sure that it'll do the job to protect the tiller and my BX....

Charlie, I also have a pto drive shaft made by "Comer" and I too got that imposible to read manual, I think I found the comer torque specifications on page 71 in my book. The page contains a list of torques (in Newton Meters) that are supposed to correspond with a number stamped on the slip clutch, I don't know for shure if this is what they are reffering to when they say "comer specifications" but it is the closest thing I have found.
