pt 425

hello i too am interested in getting a pt 425 and i really would like to see this thing in use in the soil types we have here in the atlanta ga . area does anyone here know of anyone who has a pt 425 0r 422 that might let me see thiers in use i have contacted pt at tazewell but they have yet to contact me back on this any help would be appreciated in advance thanks and love to site you have here as well as moss roads site

well thank you very much i check the site everyday along with e bay to see if by chance anyone else has put a pt up for sale missed the 1430 they had on e bay by a 1000.00 my loss any how i really would like to see how the pt handles georgia clay in the atlanta area if by any luck there is anyone out there in the ga area who might let me see how the machine works here would be of great assistance to me and to all a good nite /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wish I had some clay to try it out in. All I have is rich black dirt and sand dunes /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

As I mentioned in another post, I think the teeth that Power Trac offers could be more aggressive. They are more for getting large rocks into the bucket than breaking tough soil.

As for contacting Tazewell; Now, I love those folks. I love their products. I love their support on the phone. But if you try to contact them via e-mail, forgetaboutit!

has anybody in here ever heard of anyone having used or built one of the cadtracs ...............that homemade pt wannabe is it any good at all planned very well as far as power and wheel motors ........ just kinda waiting on the nice lady from pt to call me to let me know when theyll have the 425 ready you guys and the lack of being able to find one for sale has made me pretty much a beliver what the heck worse case scenerio if it doesnt live up to expectations ........e bay lol /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Try to find the SPECs for the CAD Plans unit and see if they compare. Also, does the CAD Plans unit use 4 wheel motors, ARTICULATE and OSCILLATE and so forth. Check the GPM of the hydraulics. Also, check the cost of the complete kit. It might be almost as much as a new PT. But then you would have the fun of building it, right? Dear jol1269,

I am located about 6 hours west of you and have a pt425 plus an assortment of attachments. The land around here is mainly red clay and pine trees, much like the Atlanta area. Here are the attachments I have used: 60" finish mower, 48" rotary cutter (aka bush hog in these here parts), forks, large bucket, box blade, mini-hoe, post hole digger, tiller. well sounds like you have all the things i have wanted since seeing this site and moss road's site along with of course the pt site how well does your 425 work in the red clay and which tires do you have on yours ..... which one of those attachments would you leave off your list if any that may not perform the way you wanted or expected sorry i could ask a million more questions but these would be of great help in my thought process and thanks to all you on the site for your input
