Has anyone used Prowler Tracks in a forestry application (mulching, thinning, logging)?
What are your opinions?
Thanks,
Andy

Meant to say Prowler Rubber Tracks.

Not prowler specifically, but we have recorded hours on OEM Bobcat tracks vs a couple aftermarket tracks and found very little difference, and the OEM are about double the price. We typically get about 800-900 hours before they break.

Ok, thanks.
I was hoping that was the case. If what I was told when I bought my Bobcat in 2012 was true, I evidently got a little over 1500 hours out of the original tracks. I have my doubts though.

If the guy I bought my Bobcat from was telling the truth about them being the original tracks, it is outstanding.
I now have a set of Prowler Tracks on it and will report back how I like them. Right now they have about 20 minutes on the clock. Smoothed out the ride some.

1500 hours, maybe if it was a dirt machine. We cut ours up long before that on rocks and stumps. But we work in some brutal terrain. We did get a bad track once and bobcat warrantied it prorated based on 1000 hour normal life.

I really don't know how many hours were on those tracks. The machine had 1250 some odd hours on it when I bought it. The tracks were pretty cut up, but no cable showing. When they broke there wasn't much rubber left at all, and all of the cable was showing. I was just trying to get everything there was to get out of them. I wrote the hours in the back door, when I put the Prowlers on. I looked today and it was 1728 hours on the clock. I know I have put 500 hours on those old tracks. So if the guy I got it from was "mistaken" about it having the original tracks (which I believe he was), then I could have gotten 800 or 900 hours out of them. There's no way I think it's 1700 hours.
It's definitely not a dirt machine, I live in the ROCKY Mountains.
