Apparently OSHA (yes I misspelled it in the thread title) is proposing a rule that would treat ammo and primers the same as regulated high explosives, which would mean very stringent handling and storage rules would apply - making it extremely expensive to ship or store ammo and essentially impossible to sell it at retail. I know this sounds a bit wacko, but read the link below from the National Shooting Sports Foundation:

I doubt that this regulation will be passed in the way proposed, but if you own guns and would like to be able to buy ammo for them in the future, it would be a good idea to submit comments as described on the link.
Note that July 12 is the deadline for comments, so send comments immediately if this issue interests you.
