Hi Guys......... Im thinking of starting a small buisness with my tractor and skid steer doing bushhogging and loader work for the public. I live in north Alabama and was wondering what folks charge for this sort of work in and around my area. I live in a small town, 20,000 people ,but I think there will be a market for the services I would provide. Any help would be appreciated.

The easiest way to find out is to call a few contractors and ask what it would cost. Don't tell them you are starting a business. Just ask what their hourly rate is.

Skid steers rent for $120- $200 a day here depending on the size needed.

Don't forget to call the insurance companies to get quotes on liability insurance. You don't want to be living in a barrel on the street, watching someone else live in your house and driving your tractors... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
