Pricing on Kubota B6000

Hi. What would be the value of a Kubota B6000? It is in excellent running condition, not rustyoverall, stored indoors, starts right up summer or winter, has brush hog and fixed plow blade. Ag Tires that are weather checked. One rear wheel is pretty rusty, may need replacing. Thanks. Seen them from $6000 - $2000.

B6000's were the first tractors that came to the US over 35 years ago. The implements it has will be a large determining factor in its value. Especially whether or not it has a loader and if it has an aftermarket PTO reverser. These machines have what are considered reverse rotation PTO's and won't work with most current PTO implements and the reversers are now obsolete.

As mentioned above, the reverse PTO is a big deal, although you mention it comes with a "bush hog." If the hog is in good shape, and you don't need any other PTO powered implements (finish mower, tiller, etc.) then you might be able to push-down the price a bit (due to possible grey market status)and get a decent tractor at a decent price, but keep in mind that Kubota Dealers are under orders not to touch grey market tractors, which the B6000 might be. You will not get them to work on it. Or knowingly sell you parts for it.

Is it a "Sunshine" 42 inch hog?

B6000 is not a grey market tractor, so that shouldn't be a factor in your decision.
Age and parts availability are.
Can it run a mid mount mower deck or front snoblower? Front PTO for those is scarce as hen's teeth.
A reverser for the rear PTO will add utility (and value) to the deal.
As Brian asked - does it come with an FEL? Another big utility & value item.

When I was looking at cheap used tractors back in the spring, I considered a B6000. I "think" it was a US version, since the decals were in English. I have "heard" that if the decals are in Japanese, it is a "grey market." I do not know if all that is true.

It had a 42' Sunshine (made by Modern) cutter. Apparently, this cutter is set-up to rotate either way, and has blades that cut in either direction:

I "think" this means that it is OK to run the gearbox on that particular series of cutter in either direction. If there is nothing special about the gearbox (another "don't know") then if the blades will fit other 42 inch cutters, could the other 42" cutters be adapted to reverse rotation by installing the Sunshine/Modern blades??

Anyway, I decided to keep looking for a tractor with a "normal" PTO, although if the B6000 had been dirt-cheap I might have been really tempted.

Dirt cheap, to me, would have had to be under $2,000.00 with the cutter.
