Now it's down to getting the best price I can

Sorry, I was watching but wouldn't be any help as I'm looking at the same machine. I want to get the rear discharge, which one did you get? Maybe you can help me......what price did you get?

Not sure what Barlow's priced them at but I was able to get 15% off list plus delivery and even better we do not pay sales tax here. It's 150 miles to the dealer so I was happy to pay $200 for delivery. I got the standard side discharge w/ the 60" deck no other options. Did look at the canopy and lights but decided against them for the time being.

Looks like the machine I got was on the lot for only a month or so.
Personally I hate it when I see so many expensive tractors simply sitting out in the weather on the dealers' lots. Up north here you even see them completely snowed over at times, what a poor way to show that they care about the equipment they sell. All my machines are stored in climate controlled and mouse proof buildings when not in use. Never are they stored in the direct sun or in the rain or snow. I spent good hard earned money might as well take good care of it.

I hear you, all my equipment is inside too, not climate controlled but insulated. Then again I don't wax anything, but out of the weather is big IMHO.

I will Give Barlow's a shout when I'm ready. I've heard more than enough positive notes that I have to give them a call.

Think I paid just over 11.5 for mine. Not positive, though.

I wish we could afford to give them inside storage year around!!! We often spend many dollars cleaning machines that have been outside before delivery to our customers. It makes you wonder why we don't spend the money to put them under a roof to begin with.
We do stress to our suppliers that spring orders come in enclosed van trailers to lower the chance of winter travel damage.

We have found it is better to have fresh inventory, the equipment may have coating of a light fresh dust which it could have gotten from inside, then to have an aged or faded inventory look.

We do appreciate all levels of care for the equipment we sell and the more the better!!

We are fortunate enough to have customers with non-current machines that I would consider show quality that I know I could take from their garage to a indoor show without us touching it!!!

Depending on what short comings your machine might have we might have a remedy or two!
Good luck with it! They are great machines with excellent fuel economy and a even better cut!!!

Might want to check out these low cost metal buildings - cost more to concrete the floors than it did for either building. I have four of them, a team of four guys comes out and has it up and finished within three hours. 20 year warranty can't go wrong. Great for summer time storage out of the direct sun light and away from most of the dust and dirt. Most things including the RV get moved to inside heated storage for the winter months.
