Hey fellas,
I see a lot of people quoting some pretty darn low prices on 3x20 tractors. Some of them are too low to believe... almost 25% off MSRP! From what I gather, if you get 15% off, you're doing good.
So here's a breakdown of what I'm pricing out, with MSRP (same as JD web site), and then 10% off, 15% off, and 20% off:
3320 Tractor, eHydro, R4, iMatch, 3rd SCV, Fwd Lighting, Rear Lighting, Air Seat, Receiver Hitch
MSRP: $19,440.00 + $150.00 freight + $400.00 dealer PDI = $19,970
10% off: $17,973.00
15% off: $16,974.50
20% off: $15,976.00
300 CX FEL, Ballast Box, Deluxe Hood Guard, 61" HD Bucket, Level Indicator
MSRP: $4398.00 + $40.00 freight + $200.00 dealer PDI = $4638.00
10% off: $4,174.20
15% off: $3,942.30
20% off: $3,710.40
448 Backhoe, 14" HD bucket, Power Beyond kit
MSRP: $8,234.00 + $40.00 freight + $600.00 dealer PDI = $8,874.00
10% off: $7,986.60
15% off: $7,542.90
20% off: $7,099.20
I went to the biggest dealership in the area. The guy I talked with was great, really knew the tractors and I got a good feeling that he was going to back me up after the sale. But he did say that although he used to be able to sell at 15% off MSRP, Deere has reduced their MSRP without changing the cost to the dealer. I haven't shopped around his quote yet, and I will, but I thought I'd run it by you guys and see if anyone in the Pac NW can tell me if this is a bad deal for this area. I know it's not smokin.
3320 as above: $18,200.00 ($1745.00 discount - about 6% off MSRP, not including freight and PDI... if you include those in the MSRP, it's about 9% off MSRP)
300 cx: $4,000.00 ($638.00 discount - about 9% off or 14% off, again depending on whether you include the freight and PDI in the MSRP)
448: $7,800 ($1074.00 discount - 5% off or 12% off, as before)
So a total package of $29,000.00. Now if you count the freight and PDI as part of MSRP, $29,000.00 is between 10-15% off on the whole package. But if you don't, it's less than 10% off. So how do you guys figure it?
And, can I do a LOT better than this, or just a little, here in the Pac NW?
Thanks for any help,
Nathan
