Hello to all. I'm looking to buy a new JD 4320 eHydro open station with R4 tires and am looking for opinions on what would be a good/fair deal. I've checked with one dealer and he is giving 12% off list plus $1000 rebate frm JD plus $500 off if I take the 4320 he has had on his lot for 3 mos. Considering everything, it amounts to 17.25% off list if I take the tractor he has. Is this a good deal?? Thanks for your opinion.

17% off list seems like a great deal, average has been about 10%-12% since JD reduced the margins to the dealers.

Sounds great to me. If that's the tractor you want, jump on it.

This is probably more tractor than necessary. I was looking mainly at weight, wheel width, and HP. It is replacing an older Massey Ferguson 1045 here on the old 300 acre farm which is nearly identical in weight and wheel width. However, the 4320 has about 10 more HP. Didn't find any other JD which came this close. I need low COG for the hills it will be mowing.
Only issue is the height of ROPS on 4320 is 96" and my doors are 90" but the ROPS is foldable. I'm concerned about forgetting to lower the ROPS and damaging the building. I see where a number of folks here on TBN have done this. I've been thinking about possibility of removing about 7" from the ROPS.
Would appreciate any thoughts.
Regards, Sunnyside

I have a 3320 which really fits my operation well. The smaller frame is good in tight places. Sounds like the 4320 would be perfect for you and most likely at a price you will not find any better. I think you need to jump on the purchase, I wouldn't think it will last much longer before some else snatches it up.

I would leave the ROPS as it. It is designed that way for a purpose and any alterations may hurt the resale. I would either leave it folded up, alter the door (if possible) paint some flashy warning sign over the door or devise some type of alarm system on the ROPS to signal you as a reminder. Don't forget a loader.

I recently got 16% off quotes from three independent JD dealers in Western New York. No set up charges (for FEL and MMM).

Looks like we got nearly identical figures. I pulled the trigger on the 4320 with loader and it should be here next week. Just couldn't pass up the deal. Now the seemingly long wait till delivery.........

It's a 10% better deal than what the local JD dealer was offering me last spring.
