Price Check Pricing for L2800

First time tractor purchaser! Have narrowed it down to NH TC30 or Kubota L2800. My question is I recieved a price quote for a new L2800 4wd (gear drive) with fel and new 5ft shredder at $14700. Is this a fair price? Also, can you get me some input between Kubota and New holland. Thanks guys!!!

That sounds like a real good price...certainly better than I did. I compared the same two machines, as well as the JD 790 and came away favorably impressed by the Kubota. Despite my recent mishap (see "L2800 catastrophy" in owning/operating) I still feel I made the right choice. Ergonomics, fit/finish, and subjective feel were my main reasons, as well as the facts that my JD dealer wasn't so nice and the New Holland dealer was over an hour away. Also, if I remember correctly, the Kubota has a little more hydro power (for FEL and implements), but the TC30 has a syncronized transmission (the Kubota is non-syncro shuttle; dead stop/then shift). By the way, if you look at the referred-to post, the dealer is indeed making the repair at no charge to me and admitted to mistakenly not installing a reinforcement bracket at the toplink mounting point. I have had absulutely no other problems or complaints with the tractor, and in fact will soon be doing paying work with it. I hope you take the time to test drive BOTH machines; you may find that one just "feels" better to you than the other! Best of luck, and keep us posted! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Sounds like a good price with a rotary cutter and loader. I really like Kubota equipment and have had very good service out of both of mine.
I do not know anything about New Holland since I have never operated one. However I do like the looks of the New Holland with the sloped hood and loader arms. Try both of them out. Buy the one you like best. Good luck.
