Price Check Price on Kubota B2150HSD

Would like your opinion what is a good price for this tractor:

Kubota B2150HSD with Loader, 60 inch mid-mount mower, Bi-Steer and 900 hours. Seems to be in good condition. Orignial owner. I have an offer to buy this tractor for about $10,000.

$10,000 is about right in my opinion. Actually, it is probably closer to a "bargain".

The B2150 is in-between the current B2410 and B2710 models. Both the B2150 and B2410 are 24 hp, but the B2150 has a 4 cylinder engine and the B2410 has a 3 cylinder engine.

If I remember correctly, when I saw both B2400s (predecessor to B2410) and B2150s on the lot, the B2150 was about $500 more than the B2400, and the older body style B2150 was out-selling the newer flat-decked B2400 because of the extra cylinder in the engine and the B2150 was perceived as more heavy-duty.

I've had my B2150HSD with FEL for a while now, and think it is a really nice tractor. $10,000 seems like a pretty good price if it is in good shape.

If the tractor does not come with operator's manuals, be careful when you go to purchase them. The B2150 had two different FELs available; the LA 350 and the LA 350A (on one the joystick controls stayed with the tractor when the FEL was removed and on the other the joystick stick stayed with the FEL). Probably not a big deal, but I got the wrong one... I'll regret it if I ever decide to try and remove the FEL using the operator manual instructions...

I just remembered the one thing that I don't like about the B2150 design. This probably won't be a problem for you, but you need to be aware of it BEFORE you commit $10,000.

The PTO "High Speed - OFF - Normal Speed" lever turns the rear PTO and the mid-PTO on at the same time, which means that if you connect a rear-mounted PTO driven piece of equipment while the mid-mower is still connected then the mid-mower will operate along with the rear equipment unless you disconnect the drive shaft to the mid-mower.

I really like mowing with mid-mowers, but have never actively pursued finding a mid-mower for my B2150 because of that design. So now I use a 72" rear finish mower on the B2150 and a 72" mid-mower on the B2910.

The mid mower on this machine is low to the ground, I never pursued one fo rmine because of that. Mine came with loader and rear blade and 1000 hours from a Kubota dealer with warranty for $8,500 four years ago. I had been looking for 2 years fairly aggresively, thought about it for 2 minutes, couldn't budge him on price, and took the deal. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
