Hi All,
I have been reading forum for months trying to make up my mind, but after reading this, I am about to buy a Kioti DK55 with a cab and a Bush Hog 3045 FEL. My question is about price, the dealer is quoting $29,000.00 for the setup. Is this too much, or is it a good deal? It is a 2009 model. I decided for this tractor over the Kubota M5040, and hope I am making the right decision. Any of your thoughts on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Sounds like that's about where they are. I think my dealer may ask a little more, but his has the Kioti loader.

I started a thread a while back on what I like about my DK55, you might check that out as well as some of the other DK55 posts. I've been very pleased with mine. Economical and good power.

Thanks for the reply. I have read everything on this forum about the dk55. I have been looking at every tractor make and model that is around 50 horsepower, and this tractor seems to be the best. My dealer says he is ordering a brand new tractor for me. He also has the Kioti loaders, but will give me a much better price on the bush hog loader, which thankfully is painted to match the tractor. I have yet to get to see the inside of a kioti cab, that is my main concern. I have went all over the internet trying to find a picture of the inside of a cab on this tractor and cant find it. I will get my new tractor in 2 to 3 weeks. I can't wait for it to get here. I have been using a JD 5103, no cab or heat or air. I am doing a major upgrade I hope.

Sounds like a good price to me. I paid $30,500.00 for mine in March, 08' with a Kioti loader. I'll be curious to see how you like the Bush Hog loader. I wish my bucket was bigger and it should curl more. I made the same decision you did. Went back and forth between the m5040 and the dk55 for a while. For me the deal breaker was the Kioti dealer is 10 minutes from my house. So far I'm very pleased with the tractor and the cab is very nice.

You wouldnt care to post a picture of the cab would you? I am buying a cab model without ever seeing the cab, and am very curious to see the inside of the cab. I will be posting all about this tractor after I get it to let everybody know how it does. It's first job will be to plow 20 acres, hopefully that will be a good break in.

Best I can do for now. I'll try to take some of the inside tomorrow.

thanks, now I wish I had a cab. Especially as the weather is taking the yearly turn for the worse and I am nowhere near done with my grading and backfilling. Would love to have more lift capacity too, the 45 just isn't cutting the mustard on these large rocks.

Wow, Now I am even more anxious to get my new toy. Thank you so much for posting those pictures, that was very kind of you to take the time to do that. I have got to say, the people on this board are some of the nicest people you will find on the internet. A lot of other places on the net could take lessons from you guys, as you always seem to have a kind word, you help with each other's problems, and like Scott, you go out of your way to help somebody like me learn a little more about things. Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting these pictures.

You won't get much more lift out of the DK55 as what you have now.
If you want to try it I have a new 55 cab getting ready for it's tires to be installed I can always put your name on it:D

PA Hayseed, Have you tried using a forklift attachment instead of the bucket?
My DK45 can lift any rock I can stuff into the bucket, and it can lift bigger ones on the forks. Iffen I can't lift them I roll them, but there's only been one so far. I looked at a used 55 before Rick piped up and made me a deal I couldn't refuse. My excrutiating researched revealed that the 55 didn't offer much more as far as lift capacity.

I have a John Deere with HST tranny. The Kioti has the shuttle shift. After using it a bit, I have adjusted to the clutch and shuttle, not that big a deal to use. I am a bit slower with the shuttle, but the power of this tractor is actually very impressive for the horsepower. It is not easy for me to endorse a tractor after only about 60 hours of use, but so far, it has done everything I have asked of it, and I have asked more than most would from a tractor of this size. You wont be sorry if you buy. Another good thing about the shuttle tranny is that you get a better power to wheel ratio with this tranny than you would with the HST.
