I have been lurking around here for about a month reading alot of useful information. I have finally decided on the kubota B7510 DT. I called around to get several quotes on the 7510Dt with FEL, 5ft box blade and a 5 ft brush hog. Highest was almost 14000, best quote was 11,595 which was with woods implements, this dealer also got into detail on what he was selling me and also seemed much friendlier than the rest. I thought it was a fair price and I don't think I should push it any more. I am correct here???

Thanks for any input /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Just a couple of things to think about. I am sure you know but in case you weren’t aware the DT is a narrow width tractor made for getting in between crop rows. It is gear drive also opposed to HST, nothing at all against gear drive which works fine, just depends on what the uses for the tractor are, one might be better for you than the other. Also I am not sure there is enough power there for a 5’ box blade or 5’ brush hog, you may need to go with 4’ on each.

That sounds like a good price. Look at the Monthly Specials page on this dealer's web site for a similar package for a little more money. As "bobobro" said, it appears that 4' attachments are better suited for this size tractor, and that's what this dealer included in his package.

One clarification - the DTN is the narrow tractor (35.3"), the DT is standard width (42.4").

Oops, sorry that's what I get for not reading the posts closely, BillG is correct, sorry about that thought I saw an "N" in there somewhere, time for glasses I guess /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

My dealer recommended 4' box blade (which covers the rear wheel width) and a 4' brushhog or 5' finish mower for my 7500. I have a 4' box blade which has been used a lot this year and a 5' finish mower. I don't know if I would go 5' box blade or 5' brushhog on your 7510, check with a couple dealers and see what they say.

Oh, BTW the price is good and make sure you are getting the 302 loader and not the 272. Both will fit the 7510 but the 302 has greater capacity.

The boxblade was 54", but the kubota web site lists the B7500 as compatible with a 60" pull behind brush cutter. I am going to see the dealer tomorrow and will get clarification on the width. Thanks for the responses.

I think that the 60" mower that you see is a finish mower (RFM-60) and not a rotary cutter. A rotary cutter takes more PTO HP than a similar sized finish mower.

You are correct, that was a finishing mower. I did talk to the dealer today and he was very conmfortable with the 5 box blade and the 5 foot rotary cutter, stating that they had a used 7500 that handled both these implements??????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It all depends, but I think I would go with a 5 foot RFM, and a 4' rotary cutter myself on a B7510. Especially since you are looking at the gear model. I only say that because if you get into heavy stuff you will need to shift to slow down...whereas with the hst, I would just slow by moving the hst pedal as needed. I might be off base, but it seems to me if the tractor started to lug, you would have to be shifting to compensate...so a smaller rotary cutter may load the tractor less most of the time and let you mow happily in whatever gear you choose.

Sometimes I think I should have got a 4' rotary cutter to go behind my b2910...only because of the trees I have to move between though.

The problem is that a 5' and a 4' rotary cutter cost almost the same amount, and dealers therefore don't like to stock the 4', since it seems that when buyers (like me) see the price is almost the same, they tend to want the most for their money and go with the 5'.

That is the way it looks to me anyway...
