Price Check Price for new 1423?

I've been waiting on a price quote from a local dealer for a few days now. Just wondering if anyone out there could give me a guess on what I can expect to pay for a MF 1423 (manual trans, No FEL) ?

Is it a 1423 or a 1523? I guess he could have a 1423 left over BUT the 1523 replaces the 1423.

In any case I just wanted to make sure the number is right... I wish I could help you, but I'm not sure on cost for either one of them.

I have asked for cost on a MF and for some reason people don't seem to give that info. MAYBE if nothing happens here, try to post in the Buying/Pricing/Comparisons section of the forums.

I was quoted a couple of months back $11,400 for new 1523 with hydrostatic transmission. That is without mower, loader or anything. I think the dealer said $10,600 for manual transmission. Again, if it is truly a 1423, I would think it'd be cheaper since they quit production in 2004.

I have requested price for both a 1423 and a 1523. The MF website lists the 1423 as part of their new line of tractors. I didn't know it was already being phased out. The picture you posted is the tractor I inquired about.

The info I said above was from my dealer. I asked about the 1428 and he said they don't make them anymore. BUT like what was said above, I guess they stopped in 2004. Maybe your dealer has one around... Call back or go there and ask about the 1523. BUT you would think (if he doesn't have one) he would know they stopped making them. LOL maybe that is why you haven't gotten a price, because he is waiting for someone to tell him what they cost.

IF he has one, you know you should pay FAR less then what was said above... I would think you could get into the 1523 for that price.

I LOVE the 15 style. I ended up getting a 1533 for around $18,750 with MF-1525 FEL, 60" box blade and 72" rotary cutter. (the box blade and cutter are Kodiak made)... Did I get a deal, don't know.

Another thing I like (just personally) about the 1523 is that it is rated @ a lower 2600 rpm, while the 1423 is rated @ 2800 rpm.

Hey fellas, That price for a 1423 quoted here is really kinda steep for that particular tractor... Reason I say this is my Bro in-law got a 1428 gear tractor w/out loader for $10k even then added a $2k 5' RFM for $12k total...

Is there something special about the 1423 that I'm missing?? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
