Used TC24DA with a NH front loader and backhoe, about 200 hours on the machine and the seller is asking about 17k. Seems like a decent price for the TLB package for this machine or is it a bit high?

My dealer sent out a flyer about 2 weeks ago, he had a used TC24D with about 150 hours on it for $14,800. It included the FEL but not a Backhoe.

I thought the price was high, I paid $13,300 for my TC24D/12LA loader new in 2004. My dealer recently offered to buy my TC24D/12LA for $13,300. Exactly the same price I paid. I didn't understand why it was worth so much being that it was used for a couple years and had just under 200 hours on it.

From what I understand in a conversation with another NH dealer, the TC24D has held its price in most markets and gone up a little in other markets because of the price increases in the steel market and the associated price increases that NH took as it evolved into the TC24DA.

Thanks Bob, if a used TC24D is 14,800 then this 24DA with a backhoe (NH3160) would seem like it is fairly priced given the current market place. I just came across this buy while driving past ... been looking at different colored machines, but if these hold their value as well as other tractors, then that addresses one of my concerns about buying a used tractor and a used New Holland in particular. I have been focused on Kubotas because of their strong resale value, but your information gives me a broader perspective!

As you look, realize that the TC24D & DA were probably the best 'small frame' compact tractors available until the TC26DA arrived. While the NH brand is often priced higher than other brands and therefore doesn't sell as well as some, it has greater loader capacity, greater 3pt capacity and equal or greater pto hp than anything else built of similar size. It also has (OPINION) the best loader design when you consider highest visibility, capacity & reliability and some of the best ergonomic design of any small frame tractor by any manufacturer. (The DA version improved some of the ergonomics and is better than the D version).

I also use a larger Kubota, and other than the forward visibility of the Kubota design, it is hard to say anything bad about that brand. I hear some folks claim the Kubotas are over priced but that is not the case in my market. Kubota is probably the most competitive priced tractor in my area, and has amazing dealer support by a couple very high quality dealers here.

Just to give you another number to compair it to. Yesterday I put a down payment on a leftover TC24DA. With the 12LA and 60" 914a it was just under $17k. I also got the CS51 snowblower and grass vaccum for right at $22k. All for 60 month at 0% financing.
