Hello to all, I have been reading this forum for some time and decided to register. Looked at a lot of used tractors with no luck. Finaly settled on a brand new Kubota L4330DT (4WD)with GST trans. I am in Livingston, Louisiana. Went to the local dealer and was quoted $24,500.00 for tractor with 853 Loader w/quick detach. Also with industrial tires. (Not including taxes and the setup charge of $175.00.) I have already qualified for and locked in the .99% two year financing and about to make down payment and go ahead and get it. After looking at the forums today, appears this may be too much. Someone posted they got a quote of $22,500.00 for the same set up in March in Texas. However another local Louisiana dealer quoted me $23,140.00 for same except with standard trans. I think the GST option is $1,200.00. Was looking at the 3430 or 3830 but like the extra power of a four cyl. Does this sound about right? Seems like what I will save in financing they have added to the price of the tractor! Any thoughts on this deal???

I got a quote from the Kubota dealer in Tallahassee, FL week before last for an L5030, 4WD HST with R4 tires and LA853 loader and heavy duty bucket for $26,100. For another $450 he would add an L8305 rear remote hydraulic valve. This is the best deal I've been quoted so far in visiting four different Kubota dealers in two states, FL and TN. He didn't mention tax, but since it's for farm use it should be 3% in FL and less in TN. There was no mention of a setup fee either, and this was a written quote on a company sales slip, not something scribbled on an information brochure. You might want to shop around some more. I think that the low financing deals come to an end on 10 July, so you have a few more days.

Thanks for the reply. Thats a good deal on the L5030 HST! Kind of looks like I may have to take a trip out of state to get a good deal on the one I want. Since the hurricans hit here the dealers act like they don't want to give much of a deal. Tractors and heavy equipment were in demand after the storms. But that has slacked off now. Our tax here is 7% so that is another $1,715 I would have to pay on the above tractor. If this state was run a little bit better I wouldn't mind paying it. (LOL) Already found a used L4330 GST w/loader (2006) but he wants $27,000 cash, this includes trailer, bush hogg, and box blade. Same as brand new price when you consider low or no interest financing. For example, at 5%, $20,000.00 in a CD will make $2,000.00 in two years. Add that to what he is asking and it is costing you $29,000.00. Which is what he said it cost him new???

That is a great deal on the 5030. Around here, that same setup would be in the neighborhood of 27,500 - 28,000 if I remember correctly. It's interesting getting quotes vs. sitting down to actually purchase -not necessarily bad, just different. I found a few items to end up a few $$ more, or a fee or something that hadn't been mentioned. On the other (better!) side of the discussions, when I asked for extras, favors, throw-ins, I was pleasantly surprised to the tune of approx. $1500 savings
