Price check on a 2007 DK65S

Going to take a look at this tractor. Have a quote of $28,900 Can. It has a cab and FEL with 400hrs. I' reading lots of good things about this model
Anyone from the canadian east coast that can give an opinion on the value of this unit. Was also quoted $44,000 for a new DK75...little to rich for my needs

Was that 44000$ with a FEL and cab? If so, it's a good price considering the 41000$ quote I'm getting in Quebec....

Yes it is a cab unit but has a Hardy loader as opposed to a Kioti, don't know much about the Hardy loader. Also has a quick attach. Still waiting for more quotes..also pricing out a 7040 Bota..but expecting it to be much higher

Hardy is from Quebec. It has a good reputation overall. You can consider that a hardy loader might be 1000-1500$ less than a kioti one, although it might even not be that much of a difference.

The loader on the DK55, the KL 551 quick att was quoted 6 975$ last time i asked, in fall.

Thanks for the info. I'm still waiting for quotes on a DK55 and another DK75. The dealer that already quoted me on the DK75 has it on the lot without a loader so he's probably trying to lower his quote by supplying a cheaper loader. We'll see what the other dealer quotes. The only reason I want the DK75 over the DK55 is the fact that in this province anything greater than 60HP on the PTO is tax exempt so the bigger tractor wouldn't be much more money as I would have to pay tax on the DK55 but not on the DK75...what's the tax rule in Quebec?

The tax rule is the same. No tax over 60HP PTO. That's a very weird rule if you ask me, because many fruits and veggies producers use small tractors, so the tractor size in no way has anything to do with the fact of using it for agriculture or not. On the other side, since we're a registered buisness, we can get the tax refund so for us, the only diff between sub and over 60HP is that we pay the tax up front and get the refund a few months later.

Please, when you get the quotes, I would be grateful to know, since I'm about to purchase a 55 HP tractor in the next month (still hesitating between Kioti dk55 and NH 3055, but pricewise, the dk has an unfair head start, even more if the rebates apply)

Just bought a used DK65S Cab with 300hrs for $25k USD and then imported it up to Canada

Thats a good price. I've actually priced out a few different models south of the border and have talked to a broker. Sounded simple..make the deal, call the broker and they look after getting it to me. I pay the tax at the border and the brokerage fees and the shipping. Some concern with soil contamination as they may refuse to let it cross the border if they feel it could be contaminated..so it must be super clean. Did you have any issues?
Were there any duties applied to the Kioti?

I picked up myself as it was only 3 hr away. No issues, showed bill of sale and payed very little in tax. I wouldn't worry about the soil contamination. Just make sure it is clean.
