That looks like a pretty competitive price But the devil's in the details...

- which quick attach FEL bucket?
- which BH 90 bucket?

I'd try to get the 3rd party implements broken out for a better comparison.

The lift (lbs) on the LA724 attached to a L3940 is...
1415 500mm forward

I haven't priced them both but have you thought about going up one more size? The 4240 gets the 854 loader. It roughly can lift about 350 lbs more about 9 inches higher. There might not be a big price difference and if lift capacity is an issue it could be well worth it.

Knew I had the information around here on the 4240:

The lift (lbs) on the LA854 attached to a L4240 and up is:
1878 500mm forward
2489 pivot pin
1874 bucket center
112.3" max lift height (the L3940 is 102.2")

Interestingly, I am also interested in a GL3940 and likewise my wife hasn't come off the ceiling or floor! I priced a GL3940, R-4's, with LA724 loader w/ QA bucket, mid PTO and 72" mmm for $25,000. I have found the price to be attractive and would like to make a purchase. I mow roughly 4 acres of lawn and an additional 2 acres of pasture with a bushhog. I have roughly 400' of gravel drive to maintain and some additional landscaping! Has anyone found the GL3940 as described to big of a machine to mow lawn? I presently have a B2710 w/ R-4's and LA402 loader and 72"mmm. The R-4's don't tear up my lawn with my present model. Excellent machine, but just looking at moving up in the world!

Bump on this.. My wife is still stuck on ceiling and I have not had a day off work in a couple of weeks so I have not made it to the local dealer to match the price.. And yes this was a Barlow quote sorry I over looked the question.. Chuck.
