wondering if 20k is a good price for a 2010 2720 with 200cx loader and 62" belly mower (new). 42 hours.

also, what could i expect for a trade in on my 4410 with 430 loader, 72" john deer 3 pt finish mower and 660 hours? its in fair condition, front tires are worn.

i'm realizing i need a mower more than a heavier duty tractor. some light loader use and assume this could run my 5" tiller as well as my 4410.

tia!!

That's a good price. Go to Deere's site and build one and you will see that with that combination you are somewhere near $24K on a brand new machine.

if i'm not mistaken, many say 85% of list is a good price (according to many of the threads i've read on here). and 85% of 24k is 20400. so in that aspect, this price seems high.

thoughts?

anyone know of a JD dealer in the midwest who does just a flat out price, no haggling/bs involved?

Personally, I wouldn't buy the used 2720 if it wasn't below the price of what I could get a new 2520 for.

I wouldn't pay much over $18000 for the 2720.

As a trade, I think you'd see somewhere between $10K and $13K. If you sell the 4410 privately, you might get up to $15K. If you want the top dollar, I suggest you replace those front tires.

Also, talk to your local Deere dealer about repossessed 2720s. Unfortunately, repossessed tractors are becoming more common (I saw a repo'd Deere CUT this morning, in fact, while I was at my dealer. It was a 2000 series machine, but I don't recall which model it was though.

That seems high to me, but it depends on part of the country you are in. You can check on Tractorhouse.com for prices in your region. I bought a 2010, 3120 with 100 hours with 300 cx loader and shredder for $15k in January.

It really depends on where you are. In some places you may get 15% off the list price. In others, you won't. You might not make it to 10%. The Northeast is expensive for example. I actually had one dealer quote a jacked up list price then discount it back to Deere's list. He didn't even print out a break down of it.

The dealer I bought my 2720 from printed out a line item breakdown then the discount per item. As I recall shipping and setup were about $700 total.

I have a 2010 2720 with a 62d MMM , 200CX FEL, 5' Tylor way Bushhog , Independent lift kit on the MMM, power beyond kit, All total was $23,500.00 That includes the SCV connections for the lift kit.

I think your price on a used machine is high. Go there with your check book in hand and write him a check for 2K less. Place the check face down on his desk and leave a phone number. It will fly!! let him see you write the check but don't let him see your price till you leave.

I have a 2010 2720 (23 hours) with 200CX (63" Buck), backhoe, I-Match, JD ballast box and accessories I'm asking $21,000.00 for. Dealer told me my price isn't unreasonable.

The backhoe cost a little more than the mmm, but I'm asking a little more than the one you are looking at.

Wooden might be offering some good advice!

Good luck and hope you get your 3000 series!
