Theres one at a local dealer for 14,500.

Its eHydro, very nice condition, 130 hrs, canopy & R1s. 420 Loader.

Does this sound like a good price?

I think hydro, and maybe reliability. The 1720 is at least 20 years old, runs fine, but I know its gonna start nickel and diming at some point. Ive replaced a few seals, starter, alternator, and glow plugs so far. I guess theres the shiny factor too!

I may be out there but bear with me.
4310 is going to be a 10 year old or so tractor any way you cut it.
130 hours is nothing though, almost makes you wonder where in the heck was it?

To go buy it today the model would be the 3320, with loader and canopy, ehydro and taking off what you should be getting off from the dealer you are in 24,000 territory +/- new. (no taxes in my figure here).

So, at 10 years old and barely used go over it really good, I mean real good. I would be more worried about dry rotted hoses / tires / any rubber or plastic parts. Old fluids, etc. If it all checks out and you can get the dealer down a little as well as maybe a full servicing (engine and hydro, all filters changed) it sounds like a very fair deal to me. But again, only if everything is in great shape.

So now on Craigslist theres a 1999 4500 loader/R1/4WD/Power Reverser 2000 hours for 13,500. its local, and the pics look decent. I haven't been to see it yet so that remains to be seen. I know 2k hours aint new, but to put in perspective, Ive owned my 1720 for close to 10 years and put less then 400 hours on it. Ive cleared a bit more of my land, so even doubling that usage, I don't think I'll wear it out even at 2k hours.

So is it worth it to go with a higher hour count, for 8 more HP, bigger frame, and bigger loader?
