Price Check Price Check JD 318

A buddy of mine needs a price check on a JD 318 about a 1980. He is buying it from his brother and he wants $2500, it is in excellent shape with 200 hours. What is a fair price?

I'd be suspicious of the hours. Even if it was a 85' model, that would only be 10 hrs. per year.

The 318 was first made by JD in 1983, so it could not be "about a 1980". If you post the serial number I can tell you the exact year it was made.
If it is in excellent shape with only 200 hours I would say that $2500 is a very fair price. What does it have for attachments?

Ken it just has the mower deck as far as I know.
