Hey, I'm seriously looking at selling my JD 2210 now. We've been talking about it for awhile now and getting serious now. Its just not big enough for what I'm doing.

Its a 2005 with 136 hours. I've got a curtis hardsided cab, heater, the console w/ cd player and defroster, 2 front 2 back work lights, strobe light, FEL with 61" bucket, 42" pallet forks, Mid mount mower deck, 54" front blade, ballast box, and rear wheel weights.

I know no one can see the exact condition of the tractor but with 136 hours of mostly loader work, I'm sure you can imagine the condition is pretty good.

What would be a reasonable trade-in price? (i'd be buying a 37K Kubota 5740)
What would be a reasonable selling price? I just have to fuiger out if its worth the extra time and effort to sell it.

Thanks for any help,

Collin

Hey Collin, That sounds like a sharp rig there. In my opinion I would say that on trade should be around the $11,500-13,000 I would say. They always low ball when trading. Selling outright, around $14,000 maybe 15,000 if you sell as a package. You have around $16,000 to 17,000 if not more invested and its almost brand new. Just my thoughts, I live in central Illinois and had a 2210 w/loader. Also there might be more intrest in 2210 vs. 2305. Good luck!!

Ya, thats about what I was thinking. It has been stored outside for half its life. So there are some small rust spots on where the loader connects, and the bucket. But it pretty much is new. Well with a good cleaning it will be new lol.
We do have about 17,000 to 18,000 into it. I'm looking at getting a Kubota L5740 with the cab for snow removal in our lots.

Whats the best way to sell the thing?

Well, You could ask your John Deere dealer if they would sell on consignment, my dealer lets me sell stuff and they get 10%. They have a network called machinefinder that goes all over the country. You could check it out on the web Used Farm Equipment & Agricultural Equipment - John Deere MachineFinder.com, just search for equipment. Try local classified or last resort E-bay. Never sold on there so cant give any advice. First I would see what the trade diff. is first. I have a friend that wants a 2210 with loader and mmm. You have a nice package but more than what he wants. Might also break the package up, selling the tractor, cab, loader and maybe deck together and the rest seperate. Just a thought.

When I traded in my 05-2210w/54 mmm and 48" bucket fel and appx 265 hrs I received 11000 out of my on a trade for a 2305 -fel 54" bucket- 54"mmm and backhoe
Good luck on what ever you decide to do

Do you think my local Kubota dealership would take less than the JD dealership would? I'm definitally ending up with a Kubota instead of JD just because the dealer is A LOT better around here.
