First post! Great site by the way. Appears to be good info and very helpful folks. I have read quite a bit of info since joining now I am interested in purchasing a tractor. I have 2 & 1/2 acres and want to put in a yard and do a bunch of landscaping. Also will be using tractor for snow removal and moving around some older Deere's not running yet.
I am interested in a 3320 4wd, R4 tires, Engine coolant heater, (MN. weather) e Hydro, Mid PTO and Dual mid & single SCV.
300 CX loader, 61 inch Heavy duty bucket?, 61 inch Replaceable cutting edge,61 inch Tooth bar, Deluxe hood guard and Quick tatch weights (10, 42 pounders).
I match Cat 1, 72 inch Box blade, 42 inch Fixed pallet forks and a 3 pt trailer mover.
Was wondering if anyone has an idea of how much this package will cost? Anything to add or delete from this? Anyone have a favorite dealer or a link to a favorite dealer you could direct me too. Any help or suggestions appreciated!
Kelly

i would go for the larger 73" bucket if I had it to do all over again. too bad you are not closer to me as I have a 61" bucket with a toothbar (not mounted yet), and if I found a buyer, I would be inclined to purchase a 73" bucket myself!

Welcome.

Don't know much about that particular tractor, but the general consensus is that JD dealers can offer anywhere from 10% to 15% (maybe more?) off the "build it yourself" price on the JD corporate web site.

So, you can just build exactly what you want on the site, including attachments and options, then take 15% off and take it to the local dealer(s)and see if they'll match the price.

Gives you a starting point at least.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the welcome! And the advice! I've tried a couple times on Deere's site and have trouble navigating there. Can't seem to look up all the options I want. Didn't realize I needed (wanted !) a compact tractor till I found this site. Thanks for that too by the way! I have received 2 quotes so far from the 4 e-mails I sent requesting prices for a tractor package. Joined this site a couple weeks ago and went looking at the dealerships. Started out looking at a 2305 package then thought, bigger must be better. Then considered a 2320, then a 2520. Up to a 3320 and 1 quote I got looked good and this dealer offered a left over 3520 for a little more than his quoted 3320. Life was simple a month ago, decisions decisions! Will the left over 2007 model 3520 qualify for Deere's 1.9% financing? Thanks for any further help.

As long as it's a new tractor, the financing applies. I got a 2007 model this year myself. I talked my dealer into handing over those same pallet forks for $700 - they paid about $605 for them and normally want $765 for them). I bought my JD weights from Lowes - they are $41 each online (search for suitcase weights and ignore that they say they are for JD lawn tractors - they are the same) and they deliver to your local store for free. My JD dealer wanted $46 each - shipping costs I suppose. I think the 72" box blade will be too big. Look at 60" unless you're not planning to move dirt with it. Even people with 45hp tractors sometimes get bogged down with 60" and I certainly get bogged down with a 48" BB on my 2320 at times. The tooth bar is great and you won't need a replaceable cutting edge if you use the toothbar.

Another thing to consider is where you want to be using the boxblade and loader. I have about 1 and 1/2 wooded acres with a 2520 with 60" boxblade. I have used the boxblade quite a bit helping to maintain some trails throughout the neighborhood and improve my property and 60" is a good width. (I sometimes wish I would have gotten the 48", but they had a 60" available in stock for the same price as getting in a 48") I also use it as ballast and it can be cumbersome to maneuver in the woods. For that reason I just got the ballast box.
Same considerations with the loader. I went with the 53" just to have a more compact unit.
I would have considered a 3000 series (yes on 1 and 1/2 acre property) as the pricing isn't that much more than a 2520 considering what you get, but I really valued the 'compact' part of the equation for in the woods.

You might find it a pain in the but switching back and forth between the toothbar and cutting edge, unless somehow both can be mounted at the same time.

I tried building it on JD's site, but could not find all the attachments. Anyway,
for larger tractors you can figure 84% of the price up front. Negotiating should get you lower than this, but I am not sure if the same hold true for the CUTs.

Good Luck!

I just ordered a 3320, 300CX, R4, eHydro, and a 5ft woods BB for 19,500 OTD.

That may help

I would get the 73" bucket as well. Just ordered 3720 cab with 60" box blade. Dealer personally has a 3520 cab with 60" box blade. said he wouldn't want any bigger.

Thanks for the replies! So I should swap the 61 inch bucket for the 73 inch, and swap the 72 inch box blade for the 60 inch? For the items I listed 1 quote is $22950 plus tax, the other is $23899 plus tax. I have a truck and trailer so I wouldn't mind takin a drive for a better deal. Both dealers are quoteing $40 a piece for the 42# weights. The dealer with the higher quote said $1000 more for the 2007 3520.

Hey KJF470 - I'm also from MN. I just bought a 2520 and managed to find it about $1000 less than anywhere else in Princeton. The dealer sold me a 2520 for $13,425, tractor only. He quoted my $15,850 for a 3120 with mid PTO, tractor only. I didn't ask prices on the other equipment you wanted but I've been dealing with him for 10 years and he's always the lowest price around.

Yep on the 73" bucket. Matter of fact, I am in the process now of negotiating a trade-up to a 3320 CAB tractor and i forgot to get a good price on the 73" bucket. I also am looking at the BLACK workforce bucket which is more rugged and reportedly cheaper than the Deere green HD buckets.

What a great site! Thanks to everyone for the help! Hey bz1, I've been to Greenway in Princeton and sat down with Jack for an hour and got quotes on a 2520 and a 3320. After help from this thread I need to go back there and get a new quote with the specific stuff I want. I live north of Big Lake so Greenway is about 1/2 hour away.

I am now in the final phases of the negotiations before I pull the trigger (or not), and I am pondering staying with the 3320 or going with a 3520 and deleting one attachment right now and picking it up later. I am thinking about it hard as I really want to get the unit with the Loader and MMM, however the 3520 is more bucks so it would cut into my available funds of I do it. The Dealer did epress some copncerns about the combo of the 72: MMM and the 3320 Cab and A/C on hills on hot days, so that is why i am considering goig up to the 3520. Any thoughts anyone?
