Price check DK5010 DK5510

Hello All,
I think I'm going with a DK5010 or a 5510.
Looking at the DK and NX. I like the DK no frills tractor.
I got a quote out the door, tax exempt, $21,800 on the 5010 and $23,200 on the 5510.
Does this sound about right? Thanks all!

That's a much better price than Kioti in Lake George, CO...I'm also looking at the DK5510 and I was quoted $33155. It's a very small dealer, but that price is ridiculous. What dealership quoted you $23k? Thanks

I'll have to contact them, I don't even see Kioti products on their website. You got the 5510 (non-HS)? Was that a big sale at the time or just their normal quoted price? Thanks for the help...I assume you like the tractor?

Yep I got the non HST 5510 with the lift. Yes, kioti had the free loader deal going on. That was in Feburary.
So far so good with the tractor. It did have a bad leak. Trans fluid was poring out of the top of the gear shifter. They found the filler cap did not have a vent hole. So the system would build up pressure causing the fluid to force its way out the top of the trans. They drilled a hole in the cap and it was all good to go! Been great so far. I have about 40 hours on it.

It had rear remotes, I had them install remotes at the bucket which was like 300-400 bucks. This model don't have HST, you will have to go up to the NX model and that is 3-4K

There is a dealer in Mooresville, IN that has a DK5510 hyd. shuttle for @23,500.

I ended up going cab as it was only about $5k more. I don't generally care about "resale value" because I buy stuff to use and not to sell; but, it seems as though resale with a cab does better (all other things being equal).

After getting my quotes, I've decided to go with the DK5510 HS...I'd like to have an HST trans, but I can't justify the additional $3-4k to jump to an NX model...I will also be using this tractor for logging and taking it thru heavily forested areas frequently so I don't want a cab since I think it will get damaged too much from hanging branches (and also the $5k jump is too much for me for this purchase as well). Really appreciate the response.

Congratulations on a nice tractor! For the logging and other work in the woods, I think you made the right decision on open station.

Yup, great choice! (I've got a bit of anxiety about how I'll be operating my cab around my trees- sigh, always trade-offs).
