I'd appreciate a little help just got done with a John Deere dealer prices for a 5075 M. 4wd open platform tractor and 563 farm loader NSL for options deluxe isolated open operating station 16 x 16 power reverser transmission 540/540e PTO triple rear deluxe valve with lever control triple mid valve with joystick control cold-weather package loaded rear tires upgraded rear and front work lights 85 inch heavy-duty global bucket third function remote for loader attachments basically he has the tractor at $35,800 and the loader at $7200 total price delivered $43,000 do you think that's a good deal it seems a little high but then again it always seems high ;-). Last year I was pricing out a limited cab model was actually a little cheaper but apparently the M. series is built a little tougher or at least it looks that way there's no doubt that it will be the perfect size for the farm I feel as though it's just about four grand too much what do you think?

I'd go to the "Build Your Own" John Deere configurator and see how the price compares. Many folks are getting 15% or more off and feel they got a good deal.

Hey thanks for the reply but I'm kind of looking for someone who's actually purchase one I never trust those web prices they are always overinflated so you feel like you're getting a great deal at the dealer, when I build the way I did at the dealer today the tractor by itself is $42,000 never mind the loader thanks again though. Although I will say this for it I have owned a lot of tractors and been given a lot of hand-me-down tractors but there's just something about that 5075 that feels so good when you're driving it and operating the loader I think I'm hooked :).

In my experience, the JD dealer list price has matched exactly to the dollar with their web site and we negotiated from there. I've even experienced some situations/deals where the final price was equal to the John Deere web price which I obviously ran away from.
I agree that getting other buyer's experiences is a good idea also. Get all the info you can before laying out all that dough. Good luck.

You might be waitin' around for a spell.. until a new/recent buyer of a 5075M comes along!

Folk's generally work from a basis point - the web MSRP - on the John Deere website and go from there depending upon what their local dealer is asking.

Of course, new buyers do chime in and give "real world" prices for their deals and that helps to keep everyones expectations in line with the Internet prices versus "Out-the-door" prices.

I stopped into a JD dealership in So. Dak. a month or so back and chatted with a salesman for 2-3 hours about the price difference between a cabbed 5065M and a fully optioned 4720. He was willing to shave more off the MSRP to the 5065M than he was the 4720. Indicated he would work in the 15-20% range depending upon how the tractor was configured.

That said; it can still help you with your decision making process to "do the math" with the Internet MSRP vs dealer cost...

Good luck.

Thanks AKFISH I kind of figured it was wishful thinking that someone would actually have real world numbers, let me ask you guys another kind of question I could actually buy an 85 limited cab model for almost the same money with the same loader done out the door 44 and some change he has one on the lot and would not have to order it in personally I believe it is the same tractor I looked at a year ago when I was asking if it was a good deal ;-). The M-series tractor appears to be beefier from front to back larger axles larger three point hitch external rear cylinders higher flow hydraulic rate, then again the 85 limited would still do everything required for hay and crops small animals farm just shy of 500 acres. I guess what I'm asking does anyone have experience with the M. class tractor is it really worth the extra money? tell you a funny story the 5075M I was driving was already sold the owner family showed up to take some pictures and were quite upset that I was driving through the field behind the dealer and getting it dirty LOL , the salesman was waving his hands like crazy for me to come back I figured there was something wrong with the tractor so I stopped in the middle of the field and asked what was wrong I thought the guy was going to shoot me when I got down and he was looking at his pretty green tractor all full of mud plus I scraped up the bucket, I kind of understood why he was upset but at the same time the dealer told me give it a try and go dig up some dirt I wanted to see how strong the loader is and may I say it's quite powerful :), I guess they'll have to paint the bucket good grief I felt so bad for my salesman I told him if I buy a tractor he can have my new bucket lesson learned when you see sold on the throttle don't drive it, I take pride in my equipment too but at the same time fine lines almost like scuff marks in the paint of a work bucket is just a little ridiculous the guy was totally out of control threatening to cancel the entire deal which would've worked better for me it was on the lot ;-) oh well anyone with experience with an M. class I'd like to hear from you and give me your opinions on that series thanks again take care

That wasn't your fault, it was on the dealer for letting you drive someone else's brand new sold tractor. I wouldn't be happy either but wouldn't throw a fit or cancel the deal unless you were dogging the thing out. Everyone reacts differently I suppose, like rush hour traffic, some enjoy the ride while listening to the radio and other are complete jerks.

Sorry, I don't know much about the M series personally, but it does seem beefier than the 5075E all around on the website. There are many great package deals here in Texas on the E series tractors. You mentioned the 85 limited, not sure if you meant the 83 limited, but this is what they offer it for down here:

Brookside Equipment Sales, Inc. - Featured Package #6

The same dealer offers a package for the 5075E as well:

Brookside Equipment Sales, Inc. - 5075E4 Tractor Package

These packages are very tempting but as with you, I haven't really seen any in depth and real life feedback for this series. Kind of makes it a blind purchase for me. Maybe it's the whole overseas thing. Most everything we purchase these days are foreign. Best of luck in your decision. Post pics when you purchase.

Yes thank you I meant the 83 just too many numbers I'm looking at LOL, I guess his prices are pretty good considering your showing me a 5075E $37,500 the M class tractor has wet clutch flat operator platform electric locking front differentials which will help in my wet land plowing next spring and the larger loader 563 so maybe his deal isn't that bad I'll try and offer them 42 and see what happens thanks again

Hello Radium,
I believe the 5E Limited series has a wet traction clutch and a limited slip front axle as well, but a dry pto clutch. It has to be one of the best deals on a cabbed utility tractor of this class. Last year when I was looking at a 4720 cab, the salesman told me he could do a 5083EL for about the same price and he was right. It's a long story, but I ended up with a 5M because when it comes to the green and yellow I'm a very weak man. By the way the price they are giving you appears to be close to 20% off list I believe, which is very good.

Regards,
Tom

Caledon Hills thanks for the information how do you like your 5M is it better than the 5E series cab model? Or is it just a question of features which I'm not too concerned with or is it really a structural difference it seems to me the open platform 5M I looked at and took for a ride was substantially more of a tractor than the 5E 83 hp cab model, that's not to say either tractor wouldn't work for me I'm just curious from someone who actually owns one right now I'm using a 2420 60 hp cab model new Holland to finish clearing off our farm we did a lot of land reclamation old tree farm we took down just going to be hayfields and small crops and a few little animals nothing major. I going to sell my 2420 to my other brother who has no tractor at all poor kid so I'll have a sizable down payment on a new tractor price really isn't that big of a deal and the more I'm thinking I want to stay with the cab today outside in upstate New York it's 40ー I just got done disking a 60 acre field from the warmth of my cab ;-) thank you again any information you can give is most appreciated
