Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum. I have lurked for a while but now I am ready to pull the trigger on my first tractor purchase. I am a homeowner with 10 acres of all hay field. I am buying a tractor to do brush hogging, snow removal and possibly make the hay in a few years. Initially I was looking for small B model Kubota's but I in the back of my mind knew that it wouldn't be able to do the hay making, but I couldn't justify to myself to pay the extra $$ for the larger L models. Now I found what I think is a great price on a 2006 Kubota L4400 TLB with 750 hours on it, one owner. Gear drive - 4x4. It has the Woods BH80-X backhoe on it with independent PTO pump, subframe and a LA703 front end loader. FEL has the quick connect setup as well. Rear tires are loaded. Front tires are worn down but still have 1/4 tread. Paint is faded out bad on the backhoe as it sat outside and the tractor has some fading on the FEL arms but not terrible. The hood has a small dent in it and one rear taillight busted. The guy said he only used the backhoe for about 80 hours and the tractor was used for moving hay, some stone and getting some logs hauled in for firewood.
He is asking $14.5k for it but suspect he will take $13K for it.
Is this a good price? I feel it is as the backhoe alone adds $7k when bought new.
I priced out a L4701 on Kubota's website with the loader and backhoe and it was $40k.
Any input is appreciated.
