Prentice 2864

Anyone have any feed back on the Prentice 2864? I'm looking at a 2010 model with 4500 hrs, is there any life left at Tht amount of hours or is it wore out? Has a fecon 9021 FGT on it will strictly be use for mulching only no feller head.

Cat, I don't have a prentice, but I do have an older hydro axe with a lot of more hours. It is still a good running machine. I believe hydro axe or Blount was bought out or renamed prentice . Have they done any work on the head or the machine. Is that 4500 hrs total frame hrs or on a rebuild. A lot depends on previous owner, regular maintence on machine and how hard they abused it. If it was an owner operator on it or an employee that doesn't give a .... About the machine.
