Well I think I may have found a dealer I can do busineess with and surprisingly they are somewhat local (30 miles away).
Interestingly although their prices are higher than one shipped in from another state the bottom line with the lower financing makes the prices reasonably close. I now have a clock running as the low % JD financing is do to expire May 1st or 2nd.
But if you knew me I get the pre-buy jitters instead of buyers remorse.
I guess I am just trying to justify a CUT for my 1.8 acres. My mind was spinning so much doing the pros and cons that I stepped outside to do some raking just to calm the my head. That didn't help as I was imagining myself mowing with a new tractor. and filling up the bucket with the leaves..
If you remember I started out wanting the 2305 with a loader, backhoe and mower. Then I switched to waiting for the 1026R. While waiting I considered a used 2320 equally equipped. Apparently used JD tractors have a higher interest rate: high enough that the new 2520 sales incentive of $2,500 combined with low % financing is luring me further up the feed chain.
My latest quote is for a new 2520 with loader, 62D MMM and power beyong kit installed I case I find a used BH maybe that new 270 BH coming out this summer. Don't ask what tires I will choose R3 or R4s as I flop back and forth. I was apprehensive about lawn damage with the weight of a 2320 so the extra 205LBS of the 2520 didn't help that. I would prefere one machine. Can't see getting back on my old Cub Cadet with a nice new green machine sitting there. The Turf tires really appeal to me as I will end up doing mostly lawn mowing. But the R3s are only 4 ply verses 6 ply R4s. I did take a look at the
R3s on a tractor and they are Carlile with what I would call a really agressive "knobbie" tread. Then again I hear they might be some interference with R3s and a backhoes.
Bartender another round over here.
The 2320 would be all I need for power etc., but the small price difference the 2520 is enticing to say the least.
One thing I might ask please don't suggest the 2720
