Power Trac Ride

Someone had asked about the ride on a Power Trac. I did a comparison today. After making a 200 ft. road through some woods with the PT small bucket, bushhog and my chainsaw; I drove my PT down the road and then my garden tractor which has the same rear tires as the four on the PT. I can really feel and see the oscillation as the front and rear move independently of each other. No comparison, the PT rode much smoother, so naturally I drove it much faster than the garden tractor down this road.

The 1845 initially seems a bit bouncier than our 950 Deere on rough turf, I think because the tire diameter is smaller, but as I find myself mowing faster and faster, it seems to handle increased speed better. All subjective, of course, but I found that mowing in a cold rain took about 80% of the time I spent in the dry on the same field, and I didn't notice the roughness at all.
