I now have 1150 hours on my TC45DA SuperSteer. The power steering fluid has never been changed, so I know I need to do that now. When I asked for a filter at the local NH dealer, the salesperson said they don't carry it, and only have ordered one every few years. I take that to mean that their shop doesn't change this filter ever 600 hours either for the servicing they do. It costs about $110 before tax. What advice can you give me? Can I change the fluid without installing a new filter, or is that not a good idea?
Also, are there any recommended replacement filters (non OEM) for the New Holland parts, or should I just pay the high prices for these knowing that I am getting a good product?
