After I removed the power steering cylinder bracket under the engine, I attempted to remove the cylinder from the tire side. After I removed the top nut, I realized there was a nut on the bottom. I turned the bottom nut and the top bolt would turn, but no progress in it coming out. Do I need to put the top nut back on and tighten it. And then just turn the bottom nut (is it reverse threaded?) My tractor is elsewhere and I had to leave it. I was hoping that when I return, it will only take a few minutes to remove so I can install the new seals. I know this sounds simple and it probably is, but any help is appreciated.

It appears that it is a shouldered stud. If you can loosen the top nut until flush with threads and rap on it, you should be able to dislodge from arm.

See 22 in picture.

Thank-you. I'll try that this weekend.
