Power Service diesel additive shelf life?

I don't go through a lot of fuel in a year, 20 liters lasts me all winter and a couple months in the summer. A 946 ml bottle of this stuff says it will treat up to 380 liters = 50 ml to 20 liters. It says on the bottle to use it all once open. I have been using it at double the level, 100ml/20L and using it after opening it and it is a year old now, white bottle for winter brown bottle in the summer. It is still clear looking, doesn't smell funky. Is there anything that can go wrong with it, deteriorate / weaken?

It says on the web site use it up 12 to 18 months after opening it up. I use the white bottle year round .you should be ok

I guess they say use right away on the bottle as a marketing ploy to sell more bottles.

For countless years I've used "white bottle PS". I'll use it up in twelve months. Seems to be just as good at twelve months as the day I opened it.

It's in every one of my storage tank fillups and has been for a very long time. Sometimes over a year or so between using tanks down and refilling. If it goes bad I don't know it.
