power seat on s10 chevey blazer 1995 (driver side)
the seat functions all work but reversing the seat back away from the steering wheel.

1 up/down toggle switch for front tilt up/down
1 up/down toggle switch for rear tilt up/down
1 4 way (up/down/left/right) to move seat up/down/forward/backwards

seat is currently clear up against steering wheel.

all the motors seem like they are spinning, when i press the various buttons/knobs on seat, except when i press (backwards) to move the seat backwards. (nothing happens, no motor spinning or like)

i do not see any sort of limiting sensors under the seat, so i guess there some sort of limit sensor in one of the 3 electrical motors. that is not letting the seat move backwards?

multi meter reads 12v's, when using a pig tail / test wires. across all contacts. so the switches them selves are all good. and i am getting 12v each way off the switches for running each motor forward and reverse.

=================
what is best way to take seat out of the blazer?

i have 4 bolts that mount the track to the floor, and then 4 bolts that connect track to the seat. ((any info on torque would be most helpful for re-installing the seat!))

got things taken apart...
at first i thought it was the track, 1995, its now 2014, 19 years the original grease was dried hard as a rock. one of the "wear" plates on the tracks, a piece had broken off as well and was jamming things up.

put it all back together, still no go, swapped plugs around, between the 3 motors. and all 3 motors were good, put the multi tester on the one set of wires going to the "forward/backward" motion from switch, and was getting a very interment single. (breath on it and it may work).

popped the cover on the switch, and it uses bent pieces of copper in V fashion for a spring / connector in it. put to much tension in spring. and no good, and not enough still no good. after monkey around for about 30 minutes to find the sweet spot for the tension. went to put it back together. and *i lost* the center yoke piece. (piece that goes between joystick, and a center holding point. short little piece of metal heck even red to boot. and can not find it.

will check in morning after sun comes up to see if i can find it again, but most likely off to call some salvage places to see if i can find a switch.

might give local shop a call to find specs to re-torq seat bolts, and order part, seems they can find stuff so much quicker and easier than i. couple extra bucks paying for there up charge worth it.
