Well, its been a very productive first 50 hours, and of course, somewhat stressful! I was having HST trans issues, and I'm finding out that I wasn't alone after reading some others having the same problems. After my dealer changed out a hydraulic valve and the hydraulic filter it didn't seem to change much. I learned to recalibrate the trans and have tinkered with that a bit by changing the pedal depth, but ended up keeping the factory recalibration as described in the manual.

Once I figured out that you really do have to wait a couple of seconds after each time you use the transmission, the problems quit. I do not like that pause, it seems excessive to me, but now that I know to be more patient it seems to be working well.

That brings me to some positive news... Man, that thing is well endowed :), and has some serious work potential!! After doing many challenging functions (check out my youtube page; Kapitany7) with it, I am finding that I am truly amazed at its power and capability! My other tractor is a John Deere (2013) 4720 66 hp CUT.

I am feeling like the 60 hp Kioti has more power and torque. If you look at this video take note that the hill side I am cutting is virgin clay. Been packed down, hundreds, or thousands of years, who knows, but it was undisturbed by man. After learning the stall limits and the hydro issues, I've found that it has excellent power! I believe that its wider stance and wider tires help this over the Deere.

The John Deere is smoother to operate for sure. But once you learn the "Kioti way," then it is tolerable. One of the reasons I bought the Kioti was for its great options. Those are really shining for me. Especially the rear 3 pt lever!!! Just can't say enough about that.. The cab is bigger, and has windows that open :). OH, and the engine really is quieter.

So, for now, I am getting more satisfied with my new mortgage payment on the Kioti. I'll keep at it for sure as I've got many projects for it. Good luck fellas!!
