Recently my 2005 GT 2186 loses power when the mower deck is engaged. It began after some bale twin got wrapped around one of the blade shafts. I cleared the shaft but the problem persisted, even after lubricating the deck at all zerts.
I removed the blade and covers, cleaned down to the bearings and lubed some more. The blades seem to turn easily by hand. Put on new blades while I was at it.
I checked the hydraulic fluid. It is clear. It comes to the mid point between fill and full when cold. However, when in use it contains small air bubbles.
I have 100 hours on the fluid.
The tractor slows significantly when climbing even a lower incline - lest than 5% - but runs well on the down hill with the mower running faster too.
What is the problem? What is the solution? Thank you in advance.
